Principal - Jacqueline Dixon

I am truly excited and honored to serve as the principal of Camino Real Elementary School. I believe strong relationships are at the heart of student success, and I am passionate about partnering with staff, students, and families to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
This is my 15th year in education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 4th grade teacher, as well as an ESL/Bilingual Coordinator. For the past five years, I served as an assistant principal, where I continued to grow my passion for supporting students, teachers, and families.
My goal is to help students succeed academically while also preparing them for success beyond the classroom. I believe in helping students become positive members of the community who can self-regulate, advocate for themselves, and persevere when times are hard.
Outside of school, I am grateful for my wonderful, supportive husband, whom I have been with since high school, and our amazing 9-year-old son. As a family, we love spending our weekends cheering him on at the baseball fields, enjoying great food, and riding bikes together.
